Tenant

Definition: A tenant is an individual or entity that rents or leases property from a landlord or property owner for a specified period in exchange for payment, usually called rent. The tenant gains the legal right to possess and use the property under the terms of a lease or rental agreement. This agreement outlines responsibilities such as rent payments, property maintenance, and adherence to rules or restrictions. Tenants do not own the property but have certain legal protections and obligations during the tenancy.
