Section 341 Meeting of Creditors
Section 341 (11 U.S.C. 341): mandatory meeting in every bankruptcy case. Debtor testifies under oath before trustee. Occurs 20-40 days after filing; typically 5-15 minutes. Judge does NOT attend. Bring: photo ID, SSN card, pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements. Trustee verifies identity, asks about assets, income, transfers, and schedule accuracy. Be honest; false statements = discharge denial or prosecution.
